“Daemon Est Deus Inversus (Latin) Daemon (Demon) is divinity inverted; more commonly, the Devil is God inverted. An ancient Hermetic, and later Qabbalistic, aphorism referring to that polar power which is required by the equilibrium and harmony in nature.
